This D.C. area club is dedicated to the preservation and enjoyment of all of the cars of the MG marque…The club holds local and regional events that run the gamut of car-related activities from hands-on tech sessions to casual driving and social events, and is open to any car enthusiasts who have an interest in MGs and other similar classic British sports cars. The Central PA British Car Club, Inc. of Altoona PA announces the following regarding their 29th Annual British Car Festival August 26 and 27, 2023 including John Twist of University Motors and featuring the 2023 Tigers East and Alpines East Rootes Bash. We expect a nice showing of Sunbeam Tigers and Alpines.
Our host hotel is (Fairfield Inn & Townplace Suites by Marriott) They are holding rooms until 2 weeks prior (August 11th). The cost per night is $104 per night.
A Registration form is attached and can be forwarded or placed in your newsletter. However, for easy registration go to (centralpabritishcar.com). Payment can be accepted online as well.
Our plans are to host registration and a pizza party Friday night at the host hotel. This will be held either in the lobby/patio or in the parking lot depending on weather.
Saturday, registration at the hotel from 9 am till 11am. Coffee and donuts and tour of Lenny’s Classic Car Museum from 10am to noon. Then we’re off to Slingers Throw House from noon to 2pm for Axe Throwing a big hit for the last few years. We will be making an earlier drive starting at 5 pm from the hotel to arrive at our Saturday night dinner at Brush Mountain Sportsman’s Club, followed by our Pig Roast and Just Desserts party.
Sunday, we will hold our event at Lakemont Park from 9 am to 5 pm. The Casino at the park will provide a BBQ chicken dinner, which will be served at noon.
