This D.C. area club is dedicated to the preservation and enjoyment of all of the cars of the MG marque…The club holds local and regional events that run the gamut of car-related activities from hands-on tech sessions to casual driving and social events, and is open to any car enthusiasts who have an interest in MGs and other similar classic British sports cars. Rallye runs Saturday November 23rd, rain or shine
Starting point is at the Brighten Dam in Montgomery County.
GPS info: Brighten Dam (Triadelphia Reservoir) 2 Brighten Dam Road, Brookeville Maryland 20833
Arrival time at the Dam- 9:30 am. Interval departures start at 10:00 sharp. Coffee and donuts served until 9:55…..
And just to kick up the excitement level, a few highlights: 1) lots of open country and ‘made for MG’s roads; 1) photo shoot with at least one cow; 3) a game of 5 card draw (huh?!); 4) as always some required singing and running around; and 5) a side trip to a ‘Beer Farm’ (again, huh?!).
A note from our local constabulary- the Montgomery County Police Department has generously agreed to remove (forcibly if necessary) any non-MG historic vehicles from the route. TR’s will receive a heavy fine as well.
